Training in the nuclear sector is our original area of expertise, and it remains an essential activity for increasing the skills of new recruits, power station technical personnel, and operating and test engineers.
The courses and tools offered form a coherent whole: face-to-face classroom training, hands-on study of an experimental reactor and e-learning aids on CD-Rom and the intranet. In this last area, we go far beyond just using “e-books”; we design interactive tools with an educational guide, simulations and evaluation systems: these are comprehensive training methods.
In addition to the use of simulators, programs can be created, for example, for preliminary upgrade of trainees: this way the “teaching productivity” of learning is maximized.
Each year, GDFSUEZ Belgium entrusts us with the training of 90 newly recruited engineers. Our goal is to provide them with basic knowledge on the functioning of pressurized water reactors. The training links classroom lessons with simulator exercises.
AREVA NP training for Test and Operations Engineers (TOE). This training course, focusing on the detailed operation of the main controls for generating units, uses two multi-functional simulators (CPY and P'4) and is held over a period of one week, run jointly by the CORYS T.E.S.S. and AREVA-NP trainers
